DSDThe DSD (Duales System Deutschland) is a scheme introduced in Germany for separating domestic refuse into two types so as to reduce environmental damage. Normal refuse is disposed of in the usual way by burning or dumping at land-fill sites; packets and containers with a green spot (Grüner Punkt) imprinted on them are kept separate and are then collected for recycling.
